Social Media & Community Assistant

We're a small indie studio looking for a creative community builder to help grow the profile of our upcoming mystery adventure game Mithra.

We're looking to work with a freelancer who would be able to provide us with around 1-2 days worth of support per week.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule engaging content across social media (TikTok, Instagram, Bluesky, etc.)
• Edit short-form video clips, GIFs and trailers from gameplay footage
• Help us to grow our community on social media and Discord
• Research and reach out to relevant creators, press and communities where necessary
• Suggest new ideas to grow the profile of Mithra

Requirements

• Experience creating social media content
• Basic video editing skills
• Strong written communication and a good sense of humour and tone
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently

Desirable

• Experience in games marketing or community management & growth
• Understanding of Steam and wishlist-driven marketing
• Familiarity with analytics tools
• A genuine interest in indie games, especially those that are narratively driven
• UK based or based in a timezone that allows for easy communication during UK office-hours

Project

Mithra is a hand-drawn mystery adventure about falling down a sinister rabbit hole to expose one of the world’s oldest cults. Players solve environmental puzzles and cross paths with a cast of eccentric locals in a globetrotting adventure that gets seriously surreal.

What begins as a single missing-person case pulls Kyra deep into something far larger, as she discovers that her ties to an ancient conspiracy run deeper than she could ever have imagined. It's a race to unravel the truth about her past - and a dark mystery that leaves her life, and the fate of the entire world, hanging in the balance.
